Author Guidelines
Authors submitting manuscripts to the International Journal of Advanced Chemical Materials (IJACM) are required to follow the guidelines below to ensure clarity, consistency, and high scientific quality. Manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision prior to peer review.
1. Manuscript Title
The title should be brief, clear, and informative, accurately reflecting the content of the manuscript.
2. Author Information
The title page must include:
Full names of all authors
Institutional affiliations (institution, department, city, country)
Identification of the corresponding author
Active email address for correspondence
ORCID iD (optional but recommended)
All affiliation details provided will be published as submitted.
3. Abstract
Authors must provide an abstract of 150–250 words.
The abstract should:
Be written as a single paragraph
Be self‑contained
Not include undefined abbreviations
Not contain citations, references, or mentions of figures/tables
4. Keywords
Provide three to six keywords that reflect the main topics of the manuscript.
5. Statements and Declarations
All submissions must include a section titled “Statements and Declarations”, covering:
Competing interests
Funding information
Ethical approvals (if applicable)
Acknowledgments
Submissions lacking this section will be considered incomplete.
6. Competing Interests
Authors must disclose any financial or non‑financial interests that could influence the work.
Failure to disclose conflicts may result in rejection.
7. Text Formatting
Manuscripts must be prepared in Microsoft Word (.docx) using the following formatting:
Font: 12‑point Times New Roman
Use italics for emphasis
Number all pages
Do not use field functions
Use tab stops or built‑in formatting tools (not spaces)
Create tables using Word’s table function
Prepare equations using Equation Editor or MathType
8. Abbreviations
All abbreviations must be defined at first use and used consistently throughout the manuscript.
9. Acknowledgments
Include acknowledgments on the title page only.
State full names of funding organizations and grant numbers (if applicable).
10. Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts should be organized in the following order:
Introduction
Materials and Methods
Results and Discussion
Conclusion
Acknowledgments
References
11. References
All references cited in the text must appear in the reference list.
All items in the reference list must be cited in the text.
References in the abstract must be included in full.
Unpublished results or personal communications should be cited in the text only.
Use DOIs when available.
Ensure accuracy of all reference details before submission.
No strict style is required at submission, but consistency is mandatory.
In‑text citations
Use numbered citations in square brackets, e.g.,
[1], [2,3].
Example:
Smith et al. [4] reported similar results.
12. Tables
Number tables consecutively (Table 1, Table 2, …)
Cite tables in the text in numerical order
Provide a clear caption for each table
If using previously published material, cite the original source
Use superscript letters (a, b, c) or asterisks (*) for footnotes
13. Figures and Artwork
Submit figures as separate files
Number figures in order of appearance (Figure 1, Figure 2, …)
Provide a caption for each figure
Text‑based graphics may be embedded in the manuscript
Use logical file names (e.g., Figure_1, Figure_2)
14. Highlights
Authors must submit 3–6 bullet points, each no longer than 90 characters, summarizing:
Novel findings
Key methods
Major contributions
Submit highlights as a separate editable file.
15. Graphical Abstract
A graphical abstract is required and must:
Visually summarize the article
Be high‑quality and clearly labeled
Have a minimum resolution of 1000 × 2500 pixels
Be submitted as a separate file (TIFF, PDF, or MS Office formats)
Include permissions for any third‑party content.
