Peer Review Process

The  International Journal of Advanced Chemical Materials (IJACM)  follows a rigorous double‑blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of scientific quality, originality, and integrity.

Our review system is designed to provide fair, unbiased, and timely evaluations of all submitted manuscripts.

Initial Screening

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial assessment by the editorial office to ensure:

Relevance to the journal’s aims and scope

Compliance with basic formatting and ethical requirements

Sufficient scientific quality for peer review

Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be returned to the authors without external review.

Double‑Blind Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent expert reviewers.

In the double‑blind process:

Authors do not know the identity of reviewers

Reviewers do not know the identity of authors

This ensures objectivity and minimizes potential bias.

Reviewer Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers assess the manuscript based on:

Originality and novelty of the research

Scientific soundness and methodological quality

Clarity of presentation and organization

Significance and impact of the findings

Appropriateness of data analysis and interpretation

Reviewers provide detailed comments and recommendations to help authors improve their work.

Editorial Decision

The final decision is made by the Editor‑in‑Chief, based on:

Reviewers’ comments

Scientific merit

Revisions submitted by the authors

Possible decisions include:

Accept

Minor revision

Major revision

Reject

Authors are notified of the decision along with reviewer comments.

Review Timeline

The typical peer review period is 3–6 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.

Confidentiality and Ethics

All editors and reviewers must:

Maintain strict confidentiality

Avoid conflicts of interest

Evaluate manuscripts objectively and professionally

The journal adheres to the ethical guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
